Asia Divers traces its origins to back in 1979. Having served many years in a historical and pioneer commercial diving firm in Hong Kong back in the 60' s, Mr. Ricky K.Y. Ng decided to establish his own business in 1979 and since then the name of Asia Divers was wide spreading and be known by the industrial.
Mr. Andrew K. H. Ng, Ricky's elder brother, a degree holder in civil engineering, was joined the company subsequently. Asia Divers was registered as a limited company in 1994 with Ricky and Andrew as the primary shareholders.
For over three decades, we have landmark the industrial with:
- 1992 First private company's operator trained in UK and acquired HSE III commercial diving certificate.
- 1993
First private company qualified as member of the Association of Offshore Diving Contractors, UK
- 1996
First local company successfully completed shark net maintenance contract previously dominated by foreigner owned companies.
- 1997
First private company qualified as member of the Association of Diving Contractors International.
- 2002
First private company's operator selected as the Chairman of Asia Pacific Chapter of the Association of Diving Contractors International.
Over the years, Asia Divers growth strategy has refine its direction to three basic elements:
- identifying subsea market that are underserviced or where no services exists,
- developing the technical expertise to provice the service, and
- acquiring assets or seeking business alliances which fill the market gap
